BIOSTIMULANTS regulation 1009/2019

CORN GLUTEN HYDROLYSATE CONSTITUTES RAW MATERIAL OF SPAA®.

It represents a protein hydrolysate totally of plant origin of corn proteins, in particular corn gluten as a by-product of the “WET MILLING” process, that is wet grinding, used for separation of the amide fraction of corn. The amino acid fraction of gluten is not easily digestible. Thanks to a careful hydrolysis process, protein chains of corn gluten, consisting of zeine, are broken down and the amino acids are made available. The result is a unique product with biostimulating properties due to the presence of amino acids, low molecular weight peptides and the natural presence of sterols and natural plant growth regulators.

Process Technology

The company SPAA® srl pays particular attention to market needs and tries to fully satisfy them by constantly improving its performances and giving life to ideas.

From this concept through the RIMPAS® research method and using the specific C.E.S.Hy.V.® process technology, SURNAN®, a new natural SPAA® bioregulator,  was created.

Biological Components

SURNAN® consists of amino acids, peptides (MW < 1000 Da), sterols, natural plant growth regulators that constitute 36.5% w/w of the dry matter.

PEPTIDES: 11,5% w/w (Molecular weight <1000Da)

PLANT STEROLS

control fluidity and permeability of the membrane.  They are involved in the mechanism of adaptation of plant cell membranes to temperature changes and other abiotic and biotic stresses.

β-sitosterol is a precursor of stigmasterol, the ratio of these two sterols is important for the resistance of plants to high and low temperatures.

NATURAL GROWTH REGULATORS (AUXINS, CYTOKININS, GIBBERELLINS): 9160-9380 ppm

AUXINS promote apical dominance, rooting, flowering, fruit development, delays of senescence and repair of wounds.

CYTOKINININS stimulate cell proliferation in many plant cells. These hormones are involved in cell division, bud and root morphogenesis, chloroplast maturation, cell growth and senescence. GIBBERELLINS have an effect on plant growth and development. Other effects are related to their general role in development processes, including the promotion of dormancy and seed germination, sex determination and fruit growth.

The biomolecules present characterise SURNAN® for the following functions:

  • Promotion of the development of the root system.
  • Promotion of flowering and fruit setting.
  • Donation of vigour and increase of photosynthetic activity of the plant.
  • Stimulation of plant metabolism by improving absorption and effectiveness of nutrients.
  • Increase of resistance to abiotic stress.
  • Improvement of production quality and crop yields

The necessity to produce SURNAN® arises from the will to have an own raw material with biostimulating properties.
